My Summer Vacation In Puerto Princesa Palawan 2013

I am sure glad I am back home, vacation was good but there is more in life than just relaxing right, :)

My summer vacation in Palawan was really fun, interesting and exciting. We went to Puerto Princesa, which is the capital of the province. "Palawan is considered the last frontier of the Philippines and the largest province in terms of land area." It is true enough that it is big and a week of being there is not enough, probably a month will do to enjoy the scenery and Island hopping. But of course, enjoying whatever time you have is better than no time at all, :)

There are so many things that you can do in Palawan. You can go Snorkeling, Diving, Kayaking, Island Hopping, City Tour and just enjoy the view of each place you visit.

We arrived evening time, which upon seeing the place because it was night time, I felt like or we thought we would not enjoy, it was really quiet and when it is dark and quiet....all those horror films I've watch keep coming back to me,haha...scaring myself that is.

Still the place we stayed in was quiet but really nice....warm but you can feel the breeze

We stayed in Puerto Pension Puerto Princesa, which is not so far from the airport ( about 10 minutes drive) and a van from the hotel pick us up (free ride), a friendly driver greeted us and his name is Fernando or Doy...which made it easier for us. Doy while driving is giving us a brief info about Puerto Princesa and about the city proper.

When we got to Puerto Pension, they gave us all a welcome cold drinks ( not beer) haha.. We checked the room we are going to stay in for few days and after unpacking and checking out the place a little more, we all decided to go to the nearby Puerto Bay walk boulevard.....walk from the hotel is about 5 to 10 minutes only and it was pretty crowded but most are teens and few adults, no wonder the street was quiet, they are all here.... It was nice but we did not stay long, its late, tired....we decided to go back, had our dinner and then headed to our room and call the night off......We all stayed on the 3rd floor.

Puerto Pension is about 10 to 15 minutes drive from the hotel to the main street. You can catch a trike for 40 peso or $1 for one destination and for passing trikes they charge 10 peso per head i think. Trikes, if i am not mistaken are four seaters.

Before I forget, Puerto Pension offers free continental breakfast for each guest and If you decide to get something else to add to your breakfast, you just have to pay additional and they will ask you before you end your night and the time you would have your breakfast and you will also have a wake up call before that time.

They have their Restaurant at the 4th floor and this is my favorite part of hotel will save that part for my next post...They also have the Garden Bar.

To Be Continued.....
