Appetizing Chicken Feet Adobo

                              

Here is another Delicious and Appetizing Dish. This is one of the Filipino favorite Appetizers. You will see this during Pinoy drinking sessions or gatherings. This Pulutan or Appetizers eaten when someone is drinking liquor. We call it Adobong Paa Ng Manok (Chicken Feet Adobo) or Adidas.

Some might find it yucky but for some this is a yummy exotic food in the Philippines.

Although it can be fried, boiled, stewed, grilled or steamed but one of the best recipe to cook it with would be Adobo. Adobo is Philippine's National and Favorite Dish.

Ok let us proceed to the cooking ingredients and procedure on it is cooked.

I have tried eating this once and yes it tasted good, I actually liked it, although I just tasted It because I dont drink at all.And not considering to eat it with rice, although some would.

Last night, my brother cooked it so they can used it as their Pulutan and I took pictures and I told them I will post it here.

Adobong Paa Ng Manok (Chicken Feet Adobo)

1 kilo chicken feet
4 heads garlic, peeled and chopped
1 large onion, peeled and quartered
1/2 cup soy sauce
1 cup water
1 tbsp. black pepper
1/4 cup vinegar
3 pieces bay leaves (laurel)
salt to taste

optional: red chili peppers (minced)

You have to wash chicken feet thoroughly and drain.

Clean and Rub chicken feet with salt and chop off nails.

Wash again with running water. Drain.

Put chicken feet, garlic, onion,soy sauce, pepper, water, sugar and bay leaves in a pot, mix everything together. Boil it using medium heat.

Let it simmer for 30-40 minutes or until chicken feet are cooked and tender.

Season with salt and vinegar. Add more water if needed.

Finally add red chili peppers and cook until sauce thickens.

Serve as a finger food, Appetizer or serve with rice as a main dish.
