Minatamis Na Saging

We have almost have complete meal now. We have post for breakfast, lunch and now dessert, yum yum.

I remember that my Mom used to prepare this for our snack during Summertime. This has been one of my favorite filipino dessert and this is quick and easy to prepare.

Perfect for summertime and it is more delicious when it is cold or with crushed ice and evaporated milk in it.

Minatamis na Saging (Banana Plantain in Syrup)

Ingredients:

6 pcs. plantain bananas (saging na saba)
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Note: You can cut the banana into bite size or any size you want.

Cooking procedure:

You should heat a cooking pot and pour-in water then let boil.

Then add brown sugar and stir until diluted. Add vanilla extract and mix really well.

Put-in the banana and adjust the heat to medium.

Then cover the cooking pot and let it simmer for 8 to 12 minutes or until the liquid thickens.

Turn-off heat and allow the plantain banana cool.

Best Serve When Cold or with Crushed Ice and Evaporated Milk.
