Pancit Canton For A Good Snack Break
What I had for snack today is chili instant pancit canton. Easy to prepare and mix and ready to eat. Perfect for when you are really busy and always on the go.
However, if you want to prepare pancit canton for someone else,you might want to try cooking it the other way. Long process but colorful.
And I have list down on how to prepare pancit canton, not the instant way.
Pancit Canton is made out of flour noodles and it a delicious colorful dish.
1 lb flour sticks or pancit canton
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 ½ cups snow pea
1 tbsp salt
2 tbsp oyster sauce
1 cup onion, sliced
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 tsp ground black pepper
4 cups chicken stock
2 cups pork, thinly sliced
4 tbsp soy sauce
½ head cabbage, chopped
2 cups carrots, julienned
10 pcs. medium sized shrimps
1 cup parsley,finely chopped
In a pan, heat the oil then sauté the garlic and onion
Then Add the pork and cook until the outer part turns light brown
Add the soy sauce and cook for 3 minutes
Put oyster sauce, and chicken stock and simmer for 15 minutes
While simmering, blanch all the vegetables in a separate pot
Put in the shrimp and parsley on the pan where the pork and other ingredients are cooked
Add salt and pepper to taste then let cook for 3 minutes
Put in the Flour sticks and cook until the liquid has been absorbed by the noodles
And lastly Add all the blanched vegetables and mix it with the rest of the ingredients.
You now have a delicious and colorful pancit canton ready to eat and share!
