How to Make Home Made Gyoza Dumplings

Today i tried cooking the Gyoza Dumplings, some procedure i check on google, no specific site. This is Home Made Dumplings and I got help from my Mom. It did not turn our that bad, even if it was my first time to do it and it tasted good as well. I will try to do it again next time, with less help maybe.

How to Make Home Made Gyoza Dumplings

1/2 kilo Ground Pork
40pcs. Gyoza Wrappers
1 teaspoon of ginger
1 teaspoon of garlic
1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of white pepper
1 teaspoon of green onion
1 tablespoon of vegetable oil or sesame oil
1/2 Cabbage
1/4 of a bunch of chives green onion

Preparation:

Chop the chives & cabbage and grate your ginger & garlic. Combine the pork, cabbage, ginger, garlic, salt, white pepper, and the oils into a large bowl.

Mix everything together, making sure the mixture isn't lumpy or uneven. Place the bowl into the refrigerator, and then leave it for about 15 minutes.

Take a wrapper and place a small spoonful of the mixture in the middle. Oil and heat a skillet on the stove. Put it on medium heat and carefully drop a few dumplings into the skillet at a time. Fry the dumplings for about two to three minutes, then reduce the heat.

Add about half a cup of water to the skillet and cover it with a pan lid. Just Steam the dumplings until the water has evaporated or boiled off and then remove the food from the heat.

Place the dumplings onto a plate. Gyoza dumplings are usually served with a soy based tare sauce, which you can season with rice vinegar.

The dumplings are best served while still steaming hot.

Try it at home and you might actually like it. Enjoy and Chow!
