I have mention in my previous post that our stay in Puerto Pension is with free continental breakfast right and if you want to add more, then additional fee will be added.
There breakfast is really good and there will be a wake up call on time you stated that you will have your breakfast, which is much better. They will ask you before the night end what kind of breakfast you will have and what time. There will be a check list to choose from.
One reason why we choose to stay at Puerto Pension is because of their Restaurant on the 4th floor. We saw the photos which proved to be right when we got there, View of Puerto Bay is really nice.
Anyways, just for the sake of having yummy breakfast and taking pictures, i tried to choose a different breakfast everyday, which is what I kinda missed now,:) Plus I really love Tapsilog (tapa, sinangag, itlog) Beef, Garlic Rice and Egg. For continental breakfast, egg is unlimited but of course we dont want too much cholesterol and they will cooked it just the way you liked it. Their Restaurant is open from 6:00 AM to 10:00 PM and they have happy hour from 4:00 pm till 7:oo pm. Very nice and relaxing place to be.
So If you are looking for a place to stay when you are in Puerto Princesa, try checking out Puerto Pension.
The next day is our Honda Bay Tour, Snorkeling Is The Only Way It Should Be, :)
Good Day!
Here is another post about my vacation. The second day is our City Tour. The regular charge is P600 per head and for this one you can booked it when you are at the hotel already.
However, on our way to the laundry shop, a trike driver outside the hotel (lots of trike are park outside the hotel) offered us a better deal and we thought since it was just a city tour which is not so far from where we are....we decided to take it. They charge us by group instead of per person, which is way much cheaper...We were charge P700 per trike instead, the security guard at the hotel knows the trike drivers, so we felt much safer in doing this or we would not have. But I would still suggest you go for a group tour booked by the hotel if you are going anywhere else and traveling in a group is always much safer and fun.
Our City Tour include Crocodile Farm, Baker’s Hill, Palawan Special Battalion WW-II Memorial Museum. The butterfly farm should be included, however, i think they were fixing it that time, so we did not go.
Crocodile Farm was nice and a tour guide assisted us but there is a charge or P20 per person before entering ( maybe because we ride a trike instead). Kinda scary as well, seeing all those big really big crocodile...and the biggest ive seen is name "Mac."
Then next is we went to Baker's Hill, and this one i really really like...i love beautiful views and nice houses and this place is just perfect, in my eyes, hahaha.
And then after Baker's Hill, since it was lunch time already, we had our lunch at a nearby place called Dampa, its an open kinda resto place which welcomes everyone...this one is perfect for travelers, affordable and good food. They also sell fresh seafood and then they cooked it way you want it with a an additional charge.
After lunch we headed to WW-2 Memorial Museum of Palawan’s Special Battalion. We met the owner and author Mr. Buddy Mendoza Jr. He is very nice, accomodating and very intelligent man, I saw some of his books and all of his collections are interesting, he even got a pair of red shoes from the former First Lady Imeld Marcos.
It has personal collection of military memorabilia (Buddy collections) and has about six theme inside the museum.
"Mr. Buddy Mendoza Jr. son of one of Palawan’s heroic sons, Higinio A. Mendoza (after whom the city’s public amphitheater is named), built a museum for Palawan’s Special Battalion in World War 2."

We missed to see the Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm which is not too far from Crocodile Farm.
We had so much fun and lastly we headed to the Cathedral in Palawan. The City Tour lasted for about five hours riding the trike but I think It should be just about four hours. Good thing about renting the trike for this tour is, we never have to rushed.
Our next tour would be Honda Bay...will post about it next and thanks to the readers.
Until Next Post and Stay Safe!

Puerto Princesa, Palawan, Philippines
Everything looks great in Palawan but Underground River Tour is the main attraction in Puerto Princesa Palawan and this is one tour you don't want to missed.
It would be better to make a reservation (underground rice tour) prior to your arrival or at least a month before going to Puerto Princesa. You can make the reservation, same time that you make your hotel reservation. This is because, they need to get you a permit either for group tour or if you want a private tour...but for this one, it is best to do a group tour instead. You will need an id when you get there. We paid P1,500 or about $38 each and 40 pesos environmental fee. This should include a free lunch. Lunch was included on our underground river tour, which is good.
Our tourist guide stated that about 900 person can be admitted to enter the underground river per day. That is why permit is a must. About 6 to 10 person per boat.
While waiting for your turn, your tourist guide will tour you somewhere closer and you can also try those camera tricks they have, using your own cam, which is for free not unless you wish to give a little amount to the person taking the photos, they call that donation.
The place is much nicer than I thought, so much beauty and when you get inside, you can take as much picture as you like, just make sure your cam has a flash...because it is darker than dark,:)
Plastics are not allowed inside the river cave, because they said wild monkeys will hear and take them and would be dangerous when that happens, because monkeys are pretty wild...Although I never saw any monkeys there, only bats and birds and Ive seen a snake, not moving...so it is safe. The view inside the river cave is really amazing, I never believe till I saw it...not unless you are not into it, then this wil make you fall asleep...approximately 45 minutes to get to the end of it....but believe me, it is all worth it, nice and interesting, give it a try when you go to Puerto Princesa Palawan!
