Palawan Summer GetAway

Cool, we are booked for our Summer Vacation already and this time we are going to Palawan. I am really excited, although we planned to go back to Boracay but we agreed to try visiting  Palawan for a change.

I want to visit Puerto Princesa Underground River (Puerto Princesa is a city located in the western provincial island of Palawan, Philippines) and other Palawan attractions and find out more about the place. I hope four days will be enough time to see the beautiful spots in Palawan but maybe not.

Just need to check on where to stay, either near the forest, close to the beach or town proper. We have check out some nice hotels to stay in but need to look further and check out price difference as well. The more convenient the better of course.

We have read some reviews that I can use as a guide or travel resources in choosing where to stay and where to go, so it should be cool. Just getting some ideas, It will be my first time there anyways, so I am pretty sure there is so much to enjoy and discover.

Hopefully, I don't bring any work load with me, so there is nothing to worry about. Although the date is set already but we're still trying to check out more information online, just to make sure it wont spoil the fun. The thrill of going somewhere you've never been is always there, while it is also true that sometimes what you see on  is not always what you get.

Still checking for hotel to stay in for few days and reading about Island group tour and where to go.

It is always best to check some reviews, see some pics and know a little about the place prior to going there, so at least you can have some idea.

Hopefully this summer vacation will be a good one and I am planning to enjoy it.

Will share some photos when I get back okey. Enjoy Your Summer!

Watching "Warm Bodies" made me feel warm inside. Felt the love and the feelings they have for each other......although one dead and one is alive....maybe not possible in real world but it is in this movie.... but then again, you can never tell...because love moves in mysterious ways.

While watching the movie, one song caught my attention, and I should say he (the zombie) have a good taste when it comes to the song, wink.

There are couple of songs from the movie warm bodies and Missing You is one of my favorite and it really made "Warm Bodies" more Zombmatic (word of the day) and I think they choose the right song for every scene in the movie.

The song "Missing You" is co written and recorded by John Waite a English Musician. Missing You was released in June of 1984, from the album "No Breaks." It was number 1 in September 22, 1984 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Songs That Will Set Your Mood Right On Valentines Day

And the most awaited day for lovers is just a day away....

Right Valentines Date, Right Place, Right Food but what about the music, what kind of song would set your mood on Valentines Day?

I was looking and checking around online on most popular songs for Valentine's Day and I came across this site and with some really nice songs  listed, some familiar and some not so. And for sure it will set the mood right and very romantic one. And the some new songs are good to listen as well.

Most of them are "old songs" but i believe songs really never get old, it is only the singer that does but their songs remain the same and more meaningful each time you hear it. Good songs never get old.

And as time passes by, they are heard and played from generations to generations and some are revival one. It may change the beat a little but still the rhyme feels the same.

Always good to look back and go down memory lane listening to a certain song that could bring back memories of yesterday.

Ooops not being sentimental here,haha...but i think Songs really play a very important part on everyone's life. Whatever type of music you play, there is always a story behind it on someone life right....

"Maybe I'm just a sentimental fool

Sweets For My Sweet, Sugar For My Honey On Valentines Day

After Chinese New Year , next will be the Valentines Day celebration and this is when you really feel that love is really in the air.

I really get excited seeing all those red heart decorations all over the place, especially at the mall and then if you look further, you will also see those
different kinds of gifts, which for me are really eye catching...especially those stuff toys...my favorites ( i am into collecting stuff toys) and a lot more to see that will surely warm your heart.

And of course you will notice those beautiful but really expensive flowers. Oh well it is just once a year but still they are expensive, haha. So I am sure it will be really appreciated when someone gets a dozen of roses and all those other stuff I see around.

On the other hand, it does not really have to be one of those gifts or really expensive one. For a person that really loves you, anything is special and it is not really about the " Price Tag" it is the giver that really count.

I remember back in Highschool, a love letter would mean more than anything as long it came from that special person. I would suggest that when you give your gift (anything) to that special person, include a note write something mushy....oh dont worry if it sounds a little "corny" the reader will always like it anyways. Its good to be mushy sometimes. Say what you mean and mean what you say.

For those who stop being romantic after being married or for those who are never romantic (someone people are really not into this) at all. Just try show your sweetness in best way you can, as long you dont forget your other half on this special day. She may say it is okey not to but every girl, every woman likes to be remember during this or any special occasions. We are good in remembering, lols.

For the giver.....Oh please, dont say you forget about it, this is not like birthdays...this is like Christmas, it is written all over the place.

And for the receiver, be thankful whatever your other half can give you...It's really the Thought that Counts. Learn how to appreciate and never compare..remember the time and effort and thoughtfulness that goes with it.

So as early as now, think of something sweet and unique... Be it dinner at home or dining out...Try to enjoy and not to spoil the moment, save that for the next day.

Enjoy Your Day Everyone!

Sinigang na Bayabas (Pork in Guava Soup) For Dinner

Most Filipinos really love sinigang (sour soup) but there are other variation of this delicious soup dish. Like using different vegetables or other kind of meat. And on this one, instead of using tamarind (sweet and sour in taste), we are going to use the native guava which gives a fruity-tasting broth.

I have list down the ingredients and procedure, base from google and how we cooked it.

Ingredients

1 kilo Pork Belly, Cubed (or Pork Bones)
1 small packet sinigang (tamarind) mix
2 medium tomatoes, chopped
1 bunch of kangkong (water spinach)
10 pieces small taro
6 pcs small guava, quartered
fish sauce, salt

Optional: String Beans

Note: You can also use milkfish, Pork Bones, Beef are some of the choices you can use in cooking sinigang na bayabas.

Procedure:

Just place pork in a pot with water until the pork is barely covered

Then add the taro and chopped tomatoes, let it boil then simmer for 25 to 30 minutes

You can then add guavas and continue to simmer for another 15 minutes.

Add the sinigang mix cook for 5 minutes

While it is boiling add the kangkong leaves (water spinach) and cover, turn off the heat.

Season with salt and fish sauce to taste.

Best Served When Hot, with Rice and Fried Fish!

Tinolang Manok (Chicken Tinola Soup)

1/2 pc small green papaya (or chayote), cut into wedges
1 tbsp garlic, minced
1 medium sized onion, chopped
1 thumb ginger, cut into strips

Then put-in the chicken and cook until color turns light brown

Add fish sauce and mix well

A Date With Jackie Chan......

It is indeed a busy Saturday for me...Tiring but it is all worth it.

Attended a training for the new task which lasted for 8 hours, it is always good to learn something new and added knowledge. It was fun doing it with the teammates and after that we were able to catch up and still watch the movie of Jackie Chan, Chinese Zodiac. The movie house was full, it was amazing as always. Jackie Chan never fail to amazed me, for me this movie is over 100% nice. The Action, Adventure and Humor in one movie, who can ask for more. And check out the ending part and you will be surprise who you will see with Jackie Chan.

You should see this movie, you will surely enjoy. This is a must see movie and I read that it might be Jackie Chan last action movie...

From Source: "I want to let the audience know that this is my last big action movie. I don’t like to die on the set. I want to continue filming," said Jackie, who was the film's lead star, writer, producer and director. "Maybe on my next movie, I don’t have to roll over, jump over the building, or jump off the car. I want to try drama or be casted in a love story."

www.pep.ph/guide/guide/11381/will-chinese-zodiac-be-the-last-movie-of-jackie-chan

And then after the movie, we were able to go to KFC for quick dinner because it is almost closing time.

So feeling tired, but i did missed blogging here...It became a daily routine and something i don't want to missed.
